HEAT PIPE CONSTRUCTION TUTORIAL
Needed Materials:
+ Steel Pipe
+ Metal Cap (Roughly same size as pipe)
+ Metal Screw Cap (Roughly same size as pipe)
+ Wick Material (Iron powder, metal wire, etc...)
+ Fluid (fluids capable of evaporating and condensing in the specific temperature and pressure range you want)
+ Insulation material

Basic Tutorial
1. Solder one end of the pipe together with a metal cap. Weld the metal screw cap onto the opposite end.
2. Create a wick with the wick material to line the inner diameter of the pipe. Create a pattern that would allow capillary action to take place, like having the inner walls of the pipe contain grooves. If heat pipe is designed to be constantly vertical, the wick is not needed as gravity will aid the condensed fluid.
2b. If possible, expel all air from the pipe.
3. Poor in the fluid.
4. Wrap the middle of the heat pipe in the insulation material.
